are you ready to take this party to the next level?  whether it's an underground rave in brooklyn, a festival in the desert, or poolside in miami, a crown is a luxe finishing touch. from egyptian times to recent red carpet events, hair accessories always dominate the market + add this feeling of royalty.

but why are they so intimidating to wear?? why does everyone feel like "there's no way i can pull it off!"  hats and hair accessories have been trending upwards for the last 2-3 years, and from the looks of it, they're here to stay! find one that matches your style + use these tips as guidelines to help you style your look!

  • know your limits! learn what does + does not work for you, and werrkk it! my absolute #1 styling tip for ANYTHING! maybe the style you gravitate to isn't the most flattering on you, and that is ok! accept it, and move on.  for smaller heads/faces, always shoot for the more tailored/petite look! also, try wearing your crown across your forehead! to appear taller, rock it tiara-style with a bun or topknot.

  • there is a time + place for everything. this applies here too! timing is everything. the ideal places to slay this trend are at festivals and black-tie events! wednesday night at dinner, or your friend's wedding are NOT appropriate.

  • practice cultural appropriation, always! this is so tricky in fashion because of the evolution of trends + how they evolve. this is a touchy area, and is viewed differently based on your location. play it safe! if you're questioning the appropriation of an item, it's probably not the best choice!
  • keep it simple! this is probably the ONLY time i will ever say, "less is more". don't have more than one statement piece! let your crown be the focal point!
