what are sundays best for? YUP: online shopping. this week we are obsessing over the riri and her baby sister, the riri tote. recently, i took a trip to nashville for my sister's bachelorette (we'll get into that later) and packed both bags as my carry-ons. as a result i made two huge discoveries: ONE, the bag is endless: i could not believe how much the bag actually fit. so much so that i had to call lindsay to tell her i fit 3 pairs of shoes and my steamer no problem. TWO, it fits perfectly in overhead storage. one flight attendant [on my smaller, "will this thing make the trip," plane from PA to Charlotte] even told me it wouldn't fit, and when it did, she asked me where it was from so she could buy it [true story].

as an added perk—i'm not usually one to travel in style—the riri bag definitely made me look like i was cool + collected. my stuff (did i mentioned i packed a ton?) was organized, easily accessible and made for some fun photo ops. all in all, the riri bag and tote are the perfect travel ladies. the soft body can fit anywhere and the material is sturdy and stain resistent.

there is no way i can travel to nashville and not share my new found love for this southern gem. it has been dubbed "nash-vegas," but it is kind of one of those things you have to experience for yourself. we were immediately a part of every other bachelor and bachelorette party; it was like an unspoken bond we all shared when walking up and down broadway (the main, touristy strip). my sister also called it a "mini times square," which is pretty accurate, but don't let that deter you if you're not into that kind of thing. there are a ton of other places to see and things to do if you need a break from the crowd. broadway wasn't necessarily our scene so here is a list of some of our favorite places:

biscuit love: biscuits... need i say more?
the sweet bean: family owned business that sells 100% Costa Rican coffee (third photo below)
the treehouse: farm to table food that you get to eat in an actual treehouse...make reservations! (first photo below)
bourbon street blues and boogie bar: in an alleyway with wildly talented musicians that play live, daily (second photo below)
nelson's green brier distillery: an $11 tour full of deep-rooted history and free whiskey!
mas tacos por favor: authentic, cheap tacos, arguably the best we've ever had... yeah, we said it
acme feed & seed: multiple levels of amazing food & live music. the atmosphere is beyond welcoming and their roof deck has an amazing view of broadway
live on the green: OK we got lucky with this one, but we ended up catching dispatch for free! i know i know, they were much more popular years ago, but they were amazing and to see flying horses live was a once in a lifetime dream of mine. check out their schedule, the artists that visit nashville come to this city for a reason

last, but tote-tally not least, my riri tote. i easily & safely packed some of my favorite s+s jewelry and even let my sister wear some pieces. i had to be nice because it was her weekend, but i also fit my ganesha so i was happy to share. she loves the stevie in quartz and it also pairs beautifully with her vintage engagement ring that dates all the way back to 1925. she also paired it with the amita in silver for a fun, daytime look. it was the perfect girls weekend and the music city definitely holds a special place in our hearts. next time you travel for a long weekend think about taking the riri bag/tote, share your trip with us and let us know what you packed, we'll call it #theririchallenge. am i crazy for packing a steamer?
