THE GIRL BEHIND @OFFICIALLYQUIGLEY + CO-FOUNDER OF BOTH SIDES BRIDAL
CASEY CARLSON GOODE ON HER WEDDING DAY!
Most of you have probably figured out from the amount of posts on Instagram, look book images or silly videos that Casey + I started Both Sides Bridal last Spring. What started as a custom jewelry for Casey's wedding has now become a capsule collection that's available in 15 retail stores in nationally + internationally. It has been a super exciting process for us.
Here's a little bit more background on how Both Sides started, and Casey's wedding..
LF: You have built a successful fashion blog, and have become the face of several California-based brands.. Not to mention having 60k followers on Instagram. When did you start modeling + blogging?
CG: I actually moved out to LA in 2011 to work on music and sort of fell into the world of fashion. Life takes you in all sorts of directions, and you have to learn to go through any and all open doors! You can wind up in unexpectedly awesome places!
LF: Most people probably do not know this, but you have been a performer/entertainer for quite sometime.. do you that contributed to your ability to appear in the public eye, and be so transformative in photos?
CG: I do think that because of my experience on stage, I have developed a great muscle for being in front of the camera! I also think that in writing music, I have learned to become a very strong storyteller.. and it's pretty magical that that kind of skill can transcend mediums as an artist.. from music to visuals!

LF: Now, moving on to romance.. You and I collaborated for your wedding earlier this year, which evolved into our Both Sides Bridal line. You've had so many bridal shoots over the past few months, it's insane!! Have probably counted you in at least 10 gowns! Who did you wear for YOUR actual wedding?
CG: For my actual wedding I wore a gown by Rue De Seine + earrings by one of my biggest idols, Ranjana Khan! (See first photo)
LF: You bridesmaids were the first ladies to "test" and wear our product! What inspired you to want to create the jewelry for them?
CG: When I was planning out what I wanted my bridesmaids to wear, I had this image of Cher from the 1970's in my head. I really wanted to them in vintage turquoise pieces... but couldn't really afford 6 $2,000 necklaces for them.. so I decided to reach out to Lindsay with the idea for BSB.

LF: Prior to your wedding, had you always wanted to have a product line/collaboration? Did you ever think it would be bridal based?
CG: I never thought I would have a bridal line! When I was planning my wedding, I just didn't see many options out there for bridal jewelry. Everything out there is either SO GLAM or SO CLASSIC. There is a lot of rhinestones and pearls, but nothing for the bohemian girl. The boho bride wants to make a statement on her wedding day... and that's why BSB fills a gap in the market that no one else was filling.
LF: As a bohemian, what bridal brands are the best for soon-to-be brides to check out? Obviously anything at Lovely Bride...
CG: I really love the new lines by Rue De Seine, Lovers Society and Daughters of Simone!
LF: What's your next big thing? 2017, get married + launch Both Sides Bridal.. what's 2018 looking like? Any other areas you want to expand into?
CG: 2018 is all about travel for me now that the wedding is over! I'm taking Officially Quigley overseas!! Stay tuned to see where #globallyquigley goes!!
